"Sox Appeal" is Back - Jenn

Starting this time last year NESN decided to jump on the dating-show bandwagon with "Sox Appeal". According to the NESN website, Sox Appeal is a show that sends "a single fan (the hero) on three blind dates over the course of one Red Sox game. Each date lasts two innings. During the seventh-inning stretch, our hero consults the Fenway faithful who help the hero decide which dater should come in from the bullpen to close the game. If the dater closes the game, NESN sends them out for a night on the town. If not, there's always next week."

Last year Don and Remy would cut to the couple at their table in the Monster Seats and comment on the goings on. Well last night was the first taping of the the new season. And in classic Don and Remy fashion, they had a lot to say about one of last night's couples. I was laughing my butt off, both at their comments and the girl herself. Anyway, I decided it was just too good to keep to myself. So, I taped it for you guys. You may need to turn the volume up to hear our faithful reporters, but it's well worth the laugh.

So what do you think of the hero's second date? She's quite a character, isn't she. And what a dancer.

While watching the couple go through the motions is always fun, Don and Remy know the viewers are there to watch the game. So they make sure we don't miss a thing, cutting back and forth to the action on the field. And as Dad posted, there was a lot of action on the field last night. Good to see the team isn't letting Papi's bad news get them down. But the real question is, how long can the team sustain without their designated hitter? Only time will tell. As for the couple on top of the monster, we'll have to wait for the new season to start in August to see how that turns out.
