Almost That Time Again!!

Well, the seasons pass and guess what? I look at the calendar and it's only--18 days until Spring Training! All of which will be closely followed by March and April with Opening Day! The final Sox starting lineup isn't quite set, but it's a lot closer than it was at this time in 2013.  The only serious questions are: center field, where Jackie Bradley, Jr. appears likely to get another chance to claim the spot (if his hitting can even come close to last year's spring training numbers), or, failing that, Vic may move from right, as I noted right after Jake fled to the Evil Empire, and then be backed by some new acquisition from the open market, or by trade.
Also unsettled: third and short, as both Sox starters from last year, Drew and Middlebrooks, still have not yet put pen to paper and signed a contract. However, I'm am not worried. Farrell and company will, I'm sure, have things well in hand by the time Opening Day rolls around.
